Who we are
Vutivi Innovative Industrial Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“VIIS”, “we”, “us”) is a metallurgical engineering company registered in South Africa under registration number 2016/509892/07, with offices at 24A Struben Drive, Rant En Dal, Krugersdorp, Gauteng, 1754.
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written to align with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Information we collect
Information you give us
The enquiry form on our contact page collects only the fields shown on it:
- Name — required, so we know who we are replying to.
- Company — optional.
- Email address — required, so we can respond.
- Phone number — optional.
- Project or material type — optional, to route the enquiry correctly.
- Message — required, and its content is entirely up to you.
- Consent — you must tick the consent box before the form will submit.
If you contact us directly by email or telephone instead, we hold whatever you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically
When the enquiry form is submitted, our server records the IP address the submission came from and the date and time, alongside the form contents. This is used to investigate abuse of the form and for no other purpose.
Our web server may also keep standard access logs, which typically include IP address, requested page, timestamp and browser user-agent. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure rather than by us.
What we do not collect
As presently built, this website:
- does not set any cookies of its own;
- does not run analytics, advertising or visitor-tracking scripts;
- does not embed social media trackers or pixels;
- does not load fonts or icons from third-party servers — all typefaces and icons are served from our own domain, so visiting the site does not disclose your visit to a font or CDN provider;
- does not store anything in your browser’s local storage.
If analytics or similar tooling is added later, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.
Why we process your information
- To respond to your enquiry. This is the primary purpose, and it is the basis on which you provide the information.
- To carry out work you ask us to do. Where an enquiry becomes an engagement, we hold contact details for the duration of that work.
- To protect the form from abuse. The IP address and timestamp are held for this reason.
We do not use enquiry information for marketing, and we do not send unsolicited communications.
How your information is stored
Enquiries are delivered by email to info@viis.co.za and are also written to a log file on our server. The log exists so that an email delivery failure does not silently lose your enquiry. It is not accessible over the internet.
Technical information you send us about a material, residue stream or process is treated as confidential. Where a project requires it, we will put a formal confidentiality arrangement in place before material or data changes hands.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only:
- with our hosting and email providers, to the extent required to operate the website and deliver mail;
- where we are legally obliged to do so;
- with your knowledge and agreement, where a project requires a third party to be involved.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained only as long as is useful for follow-up, after which they are deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a project, records are retained for as long as the engagement and our legal and professional obligations require.

Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information we no longer have grounds to keep;
- object to processing, and to withdraw consent you previously gave;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information in our care. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive material through the website form — contact us and we will arrange an appropriate channel.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published here with a revised date. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
